Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop stars: an artist who could effortlessly bridge the gap between pop and country music while sweeping the globe. Swift has shed her country roots as if she was shedding skins for second purposes revealing herself to be the most savvy pop singer/songwriter within her generation. She has the ability to harness the current zeitgeist and create her personal. This was evident in her earliest hits especially the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album in 2008's Fearless showcased a songwriter discovering the person she really was, and in the process, finding a mass audience. Fearless was successful not only on American soil, with six platinum-certified songs. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story & the hit song You Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. However, it did well all over the world. Swift took off to the peak of stardom after the release of Speak Now. In the three albums following the three albums that followed -- Red 2012, 1989 2014 along with Reputation 2017, her fame only grew. This was a sure indicator that Swift had entered a new pop world which she was able to fit into. Her popularity grew even after she changed her strategy in 2020's more streamlined siblings folklore (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
