Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, was raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actress. Paquin is a Canadian and actress from New Zealand. Born in Winnipeg but brought up in Wellington, she had her first appearance as an actor as a character in The Piano. In this romantic drama, she was the age of 11, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin's full title is Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 at Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was a Canadian native New Zealand actress. As a child, Paquin won an Academy Award for best support actress. Her performance as the enthusiastic and lively young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) brought her the award. Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 her character was the queen of Spain in a smaller character. She played teenagers as part of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as in the role of Polexia Aphrodisa groupie as part of Almost Famous (2000).
