Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her starring roles in the action-spy film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. Her childhood was lived living in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. The mother of her children was a film buff and was able to instill an interest in films in the girl. Paula enjoyed participating in school co-curricular activities and she was a huge fan of drama. She loved performing in stage productions together with her fellow students. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced many plays and the actor decided that acting was the career she wanted to pursue. In a summer program at the University of Southern California, she was awe-inspiring there. She won an assignment for PBS to produce documentaries over a period of three months. Her first job was as production assistant for television documentaries, after completing her assignment. Following the completion of her project and completing her documentary, she began producing films. She loved her work however, she always wanted to be an actor. Her acting career began with minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Over the past few years she's been in a variety of productions and films.
